Of course you do, because those shows or movies taught us a thing or two. Movies such as Cinderella, Secret Garden or shows such as Power Rangers or the Secret World of Alex Mack, kind of left us to ponder a lesson or two or to just wish that we could learn to control our inadequacies like Alex or to believe in ourselves like Cinderella. Now-a days these "kid shows" do not really teach the kids much. For goodness sake, because of the lack of educational show, my cousin is watching Ray-J, I don't know even watch that crap. Do you agree? Or am I totally wrong. Let me know.

Crazyjrsy

Internet killed the Television Star?

I was watching television this morning, something I rarely do anymore, and the commercial informing viewers to make sure they switch to digital before June came on and honestly who really cares anymore? The age of the Internet is progressing more and more rapidly. Really, who watches television anymore, everything you need is online. If indeed you do need to catch up with shows such as House or Grey’s Anatomy or the latest news, you can catch up on Hulu.com or have the news twittered to you by cnn.com. This is how things happen though. In 1979 the group The Buggles, came on the scene with their hit song Video killed the Radio Star, which today can be remixed to “Internet killed the television crew” well somewhat. Internet is really not killing the television stars more like the ones who put together the show from bottom up. Paul McDougall of Information Week conducted a survey, here is a little blurb “Of those surveyed, 19% reported spending six or more hours per day on the Internet, compared to just 9% who said they spend the same amount of time watching television. Sixty percent said they spent one to four hours online per day, compared to about 66% who said they spend the same amount of time in front of the TV”. Although, television can see decline in a few years, the internet will still be a place to see your favorite TV shows, hell there might be a time where TV will just have to do programming online, American Idol online, Hell yes.

American Idol...BITCH PLEASE..

Last week on American Idol, the show went on a little longer than usual, but why does that matter? It was just a minute, I did not think it was that serious. However, it seems, last night the judges did take it serious. Simon Cowell, announced in the beginning of the show that only two judges will speak after each contestant, I could sworn I heard the "whaaat" cries around America. Not only were the contestants not astounding last night, but the whole one, two, three now you Simon or one, two, three now you Randy was ridiculous. I like to hear what the judges say, but the only one that makes sense these days are Simon. I know, I know hes a pompous ass, but I mean what he says makes sense sometimes. Kara, just speaks without saying anything and I can get past Randy's yo's to take anything he says serious and Paula embellishes anything she says with a bunny rabbit at the end, she's to damn nice. Also, yesterday's performaces confirmed by belief over the idiocratic respone that Simon had to Ryan about Scott Macintyre leaving, "there are better singers that deserve to be here" BITCH PLEASE. Lil Rounds, I love her, she's beautiful, but she has not done anything to warrant her being on Idol, she's performed abismally, for about three weeks now. Danny Gokey, goes up and down with me, he's another one tha should be on the chopping block. I'm getting to think that all the judges need to go, because letting Scott Macintyre go was one of the worst things they could have done. Last night was a shit show, and it was a waste of my time, let's hope that next week they get their acts together, THE JUDGES I MEAN.
Twitter and Facebook could harm moral values, scientists warn

Supposedly, our generation, is indifferent to human suffering now? D Robb's mystery novels. Her books never lack personality and whether or not you can relate to her characters, you feel as if you are someone involved and that you are witnessing the lovers interaction personally or seeing a murder first hand. It's exhilarating. I'm sure you've seen the commercials for the Nora Robert's collections on Lifetime. I was really happy that they were making my favorite books into movies, "Midnight Bayou, Tribute, Northern Lights and High Noon. I did not have much time at first to see the movies on Saturday nights, but I did happen to see the movies at mylifetime.com. I was highly disappointed. It's natural that made for TV movies should be in two hour frame period but they should not be bad. The actors were not bad, although I highly detest Britney Murphy's role as Cilla McGowan in the Tribute. She's great, she really is, but not all actors should believe that they can do every role, life does not play out that way. All the movies were to quick, underdeveloped and boring, quite frankly. There was not depth to the characters, all lust, and no actions. It was like watching a dime fantasy romance novel come to life, those books have no depth either. Nora Robert's is a great writer, but whoever directs and produces her books into movies, can't make her writing come to life. Maybe I'm being bias, perhaps if you never read her books and watch the movies, you'll love it, but I guarantee if you watch and than go out and buy the books you will be disappointed on how much was kept out and how the hero or heroine was made into another Hollywood hunk. Think I'm being a bit to cynical or bias? Let me know, or go watch it read than book and than come back and comment. I love to hear from you.

claudia-ology
Let others know a little more about yourself, re-post this as your name
followed by “ology”.

***********FOODOLOGY***************
What is your salad dressing of choice?
balsamic vinegar

What is your favorite sit-down restaurant?
Chilis

What food could you eat every day for two weeks and not get sick?
tuna sandwich on garlic bread

What are your pizza toppings of choice?
jalapeno peppers and pepperoni

What do you like to put on your toast?
butter…duh

***********TECHNOLOGY***************

How many televisions are in your house?
4
What color cell phone do you have?
silver

***************BIOLOGY******************

Are you right-handed or left-handed?
right

Have you ever had anything removed from your body?
a tooth

What is the last heavy item you lifted?
my fat dog peaches…love her

Have you ever been knocked unconscious?
nope and I would never want to

************BULLCRAPOLOGY**************

If it were possible, would you want to know the day you were going to die?
I don’t know that’s difficult to answer….hmmm

If you could change your name, what would you change it to?
My favorite Disney movie is Anastasia, so I don’t know; I think I could pull that off.

Would you drink an entire bottle of hot sauce for $1000?
I love spicy and I love hot sauce so yes.

************DUMBOLOGY******************

How many pairs of flip flops do you own?
6-8 pairs

Last time you had a run-in with the cops.
never

Last person you talked to?
my mom

Last person you hugged?
my mom

**************FAVORITOLOGY****************

Season?
spring

Holiday?

Christmas, Easter

Day of the week?
I think Wednesday

Month?
February, May

***********CURRENTOLOGY*****************

Missing someone?
not really

Mood?
contented

What are you listening to?
Ryan SeaCrest on American Idol

Watching?
American Idol

Worrying about?

At 23, what am I doing with my life?

***************RANDOMOLOGY*****************

First place you went this morning?
uhhhh….

What’s the last movie you saw?

The truth about Spring.

Do you smile often?
Always. I usually try to avoid watching some reality TV shows. However, today I could not avoid it. What is up with these shows that are so obsessed with finding love with a so-called celebrity? It is so hard to find love with a regular Joe that you put yourself on a TV show where they analyze your every move and every word, knowing a little, that it may backfire on you? I don't find these shows entertaining, in fact I find it depressing and hilarious. I love love, but finding love on a TV show such as Rock of Love and For the Love of Ray J, is just a load of bull. If I was on the show it would not be for love, it would taking care of number one-me. These woman are my age and older and say in three days "I'm falling in love with Brett...tear" waaaat...that does not make any sense. You haven't even figured out how to use the shower, but of course your in love in three days. I think these shows are ridik...i think the message reads "if you worship celebrities, there's a chance you can either marry them or be there best friend" keep watching their movies, keep buying their dvds or their music, t-shirts, you will be rewarded soon...bull shit. Don't get me wrong, their are a lot of celebrities I admire, but I will be damned if I go on a show and do degrading and embarassing challenges to prove I am valuable of your attention. You must be on crack. Also, I'm not better than these girls, actually I am. These girls are putting themselves at risk, you lose you go home and people are like "oh your the whore that was naked on the stripper pole?" what do you do? you laugh? please, I would crawl under a rock. Think about this ladies, before you sign on for Win a date with Tad Hamilton, think about how it would affect your life good or bad.

Crazyjrsy

Adventureland

It was really windy today so it was either go out or stay at home and watch Nora Robert's movies on Lifetime...not going to happen. I decided to see Adventureland. I rarely go see movies that don't make me feel something at the end of the movie, I try to reserve those for late night movie fests. However, my friend talked me into seeing this movie. I did not have any expectations for this movie. I was completely unattached. As the movie progressed my early reservations were reverted. The movie was good. If I did not Kristen Stewart in such good movies as Speak, Cutlass, The Cake Eaters, or in The Land of Women, I would think that she only plays these awkward coming of age movies, but in reality she is a diverse and well rounded actress. If you seen Twilight than you know she played Bella Swan as shy, quiet and clumsy. In this role she plays Em Lewin a girl whose going through all sorts of trouble. Em Lewin was Drew Barrymore's character Casey Robert's in Mad Love. Jesse Eisenberg was the man who won over her heart. It's funny Kristen gets suave from Rob Pattinson in Twilight, but she get's dorky love from Eisenberg in Adventureland. That's not a bad thing though. Eisenberg brought us shallow girls to realize that a man with a brain is not all that bad, especially if he talks all the time about Mark Twain and travel books, he's okay ladies. Again, for all you who feel that this movie looks another coming of age movie, it is, but it so much better than that.

Crazyjrsy

Thursday, April 02, 2009

Click here to claim your blog on Blogged.com

needle me up or pin me down...

I was talking to a friend recently discussing our favorite reality TV shows, when all of a sudden she jumps up and says its almost the end of march and there has been no PROJECT RUNWAY...and i immediately understood why I've been dreading reality TV shows, because project runway has been missing...and also because making the band makes me want to lock Diddy in a room and say "why, oh why?". Besides, Top Chef, and American Idol there has really been any need to turn on the telly to watch "those" reality TV shows. "Those" are Make me a Supermodel, America's next Top Model and of course Real World (end it already, come on, there's no more states)...so I would waste away dreaming about me and Tim Gunn running in only a cashmere scarf on the fashion district with him laughing and twirling around...oops...should not have mention that.
