Ahhh to be a kid again..
Do you remember the days of Are you afraid of the dark or Homeward Bound? Of course you do, because those shows or movies taught us a thing or two. Movies such as Cinderella, Secret Garden or shows such as Power Rangers or the Secret World of Alex Mack, kind of left us to ponder a lesson or two or to just wish that we could learn to control our inadequacies like Alex or to believe in ourselves like Cinderella. Now-a days these "kid shows" do not really teach the kids much. For goodness sake, because of the lack of educational show, my cousin is watching Ray-J, I don't know even watch that crap. Do you agree? Or am I totally wrong. Let me know.

Internet killed the Television Star?
I was watching television this morning, something I rarely do anymore, and the commercial informing viewers to make sure they switch to digital before June came on and honestly who really cares anymore? The age of the Internet is progressing more and more rapidly. Really, who watches television anymore, everything you need is online. If indeed you do need to catch up with shows such as House or Grey’s Anatomy or the latest news, you can catch up on Hulu.com or have the news twittered to you by cnn.com. This is how things happen though. In 1979 the group The Buggles, came on the scene with their hit song Video killed the Radio Star, which today can be remixed to “Internet killed the television crew” well somewhat. Internet is really not killing the television stars more like the ones who put together the show from bottom up. Paul McDougall of Information Week conducted a survey, here is a little blurb “Of those surveyed, 19% reported spending six or more hours per day on the Internet, compared to just 9% who said they spend the same amount of time watching television. Sixty percent said they spent one to four hours online per day, compared to about 66% who said they spend the same amount of time in front of the TV”. Although, television can see decline in a few years, the internet will still be a place to see your favorite TV shows, hell there might be a time where TV will just have to do programming online, American Idol online, Hell yes.

American Idol...BITCH PLEASE..
Last week on American Idol, the show went on a little longer than usual, but why does that matter? It was just a minute, I did not think it was that serious. However, it seems, last night the judges did take it serious. Simon Cowell, announced in the beginning of the show that only two judges will speak after each contestant, I could sworn I heard the "whaaat" cries around America. Not only were the contestants not astounding last night, but the whole one, two, three now you Simon or one, two, three now you Randy was ridiculous. I like to hear what the judges say, but the only one that makes sense these days are Simon. I know, I know hes a pompous ass, but I mean what he says makes sense sometimes. Kara, just speaks without saying anything and I can get past Randy's yo's to take anything he says serious and Paula embellishes anything she says with a bunny rabbit at the end, she's to damn nice. Also, yesterday's performaces confirmed by belief over the idiocratic respone that Simon had to Ryan about Scott Macintyre leaving, "there are better singers that deserve to be here" BITCH PLEASE. Lil Rounds, I love her, she's beautiful, but she has not done anything to warrant her being on Idol, she's performed abismally, for about three weeks now. Danny Gokey, goes up and down with me, he's another one tha should be on the chopping block. I'm getting to think that all the judges need to go, because letting Scott Macintyre go was one of the worst things they could have done. Last night was a shit show, and it was a waste of my time, let's hope that next week they get their acts together, THE JUDGES I MEAN.

Supposedly, our generation, is indifferent to human suffering now? Could that really be true? Is our culture, or just our generation so obsessed with new technology or fun filled websites that we forget to check in on CNN or some other news channel to send our love to victims? Maybe.

Nora Roberts Movies on LifeTime
I don't know how many of you are fans of Nora Roberts but I love the books she writes, whether its her romance novels or pseudonym persona J. D Robb's mystery novels. Her books never lack personality and whether or not you can relate to her characters, you feel as if you are someone involved and that you are witnessing the lovers interaction personally or seeing a murder first hand. It's exhilarating. I'm sure you've seen the commercials for the Nora Robert's collections on Lifetime. I was really happy that they were making my favorite books into movies, "Midnight Bayou, Tribute, Northern Lights and High Noon. I did not have much time at first to see the movies on Saturday nights, but I did happen to see the movies at mylifetime.com. I was highly disappointed. It's natural that made for TV movies should be in two hour frame period but they should not be bad. The actors were not bad, although I highly detest Britney Murphy's role as Cilla McGowan in the Tribute. She's great, she really is, but not all actors should believe that they can do every role, life does not play out that way. All the movies were to quick, underdeveloped and boring, quite frankly. There was not depth to the characters, all lust, and no actions. It was like watching a dime fantasy romance novel come to life, those books have no depth either. Nora Robert's is a great writer, but whoever directs and produces her books into movies, can't make her writing come to life. Maybe I'm being bias, perhaps if you never read her books and watch the movies, you'll love it, but I guarantee if you watch and than go out and buy the books you will be disappointed on how much was kept out and how the hero or heroine was made into another Hollywood hunk. Think I'm being a bit to cynical or bias? Let me know, or go watch it read than book and than come back and comment. I love to hear from you.
